What do you mean? I’ve always wanted to have a bug’s legs sticking out of my mouth as I’m chomping down on it, only so I can feel and taste its now mushed splattered guts…..it’s right up there on top of my list.
So you don’t like squishy centers? Hee! I’ve have chapulines, which are really good in some tacos with lime and a bit of salsa. They’re big in Oaxaca. Good stuff. Don’t know if I can do squishy centers though. Kind of like eating a cockroach raw. I’ve heard one get runned over by a car and that sound was the most sickening I’ve ever heard in my life, so help me God. And that leads me to believe they aren’t all that squishy but I could be wrong. Time to talk to an entymologist. 🙂
Feliz anyo nuevo, mi Mike (don’t have tildes in my lap)! I think “Feliz Ano” would require lots of bran!
So much for squishy centers! I am so very happy I don’t get grossed out enough to stop eating! ZANZIBAR! Don’t forget to go snorkeling with whale sharks!
That. Is. Awesome. I was kind of hoping I’d see some close ups of some bug cuisine!

Ha, they must be fried for me. Everything is better deep fried. Ants, crickets, grasshoppers. This is all I have tried.

You too. I will be somewhere in Ethiopia I think. My plans to go to Sudan have changed.

Enjoy! That’s too bad about Sudan, but probably very wise at this point in time. I’ve heard it’s quite a place to see!

They are apparently very tasty, and crunchy like a chip.

No, these are not fried. They’re gooshy. Fried would be fine.

Uh, negative. If they were crunchy we could talk. Happy New Year.

“Noone can eat just one” does not apply here..

What a funny thing to offer! Is it something they actually eat or is it a tourist thing?

They definitely eat it. No tourist gimmicks in Uganda. I reckon most people are afraid if it and only come for gorillas.
