Flights to Alaska from Europe or Europe to Alaska are a steal from Iceland Air starting May 15, 2013.
My searches on Iceland Air resulted with fares less than 670usd R/T while searches on discount airfare websites such as Orbitz turned up fares from 1900-2300usd for the same period.
Flights from London were ~1100usd with a possible stay in Reykjavik en route. Contact Iceland Air for more details.
This is an excellent opportunity for European travelers to come to Alaska. In the past Lufthansa offered great R/T fares but not in 2013
Contact us in Fairbanks for more details about wildlife tours in Alaska.
Share this post to get the word out on these incredible prices.
Sheesh. It costs more to fly to London from the East Coast at that time.

No problem. Spread the word. Prices like this are so rare. I pay 1200-1800usd to fly to the US. Guess who’s going to Iceland?

mike, made me think of a recent check on prices to png. sometimes feels like there is no possible way to go home at such costs. especially with a family of five! 😦 glad to know there are those like you who make a point to share opportunities like this with others! 🙂 –kris

Hi Kris, The blog has generated a lot of interested travelers from Europe but the poor economy and ridiculous fares are keeping folks at home. I would love to see some folks make it over here this summer and fall. Auroral activity is supposed to be on the rise.
I also look at prices to png from time to time. Please, let me know if there is ever a good one!
Cheers!

My next trip will be in June to Shetland islands, but having read all these great posts about Alaska, I wish I could visit …not easy though, I need first a visa …
